ONE DAY I'll FLY AWAY

Today's Vibrancy performance was, by our standards, a disaster. LOL
However, we accomplished it all in the name of fun.
Saw many people who I dont usually see today during the event line-up.  (:
Hung out with zul anna and jx for sheesha.
It was raining bulls and lions today. Got soaked to my toes despite carrying an umbrella.  :/

Cos Challenge ovarrr! I seriously thought I wouldnt be able to make it in time. My accumulated nights of staying awake finally gave way to my weariness on the final night before the event.
Many thanks to XT and ZT for their big help!! And the guy called Rei, for helping on the wig. Nifty hands. Kyoru, Shasha and Ifa also came down. Thanks for the support, i can't tell you how happy I was. XDD

I still find it funny that Fir actually recognized me! He was there with the anime symphonic band. He recognized XT first, her voice actually gave it away la, then I urned away from his angle. Several minutes later, he was staring at me so I quickly turned away and he shouted shrilly "ANGELINE!"

"NO I AM NOT." *covers face*

"ANGELINEEEEE! HAHAHAH!"

"Dont laugh la woi!!" ;D

The day ended on a happy ride home on XT dad's pick-up. We were still in our costumes! Yah, my silver hair was flying like mad. I think I can reuse the wig for a Squalo cosplay. Just a thought.



I rushed home and rushed out again for Cityalive. They turned the whole stretch of road in front of the old parliament house into a huge clubbing ground. Awesome disco lighting, groovy music remixes, and of course, greeaaat dancers. All the cyphering was so dope. Km and his friend were about to enter the ring when it suddenly disbanded. HAHA !
There was a girl who was cyphering inside, her moves were SICK. I mean this in a good way. Her style was pure hip hop and she hit the beats hard. Maannn, if only I can move like that............................. AAAHHHHHHHH I WNA IMPROVEEEEE!! Why can't I dance welllll!

Too late for NR, so hitched a ride back with Hester and ended up staying over. I woke up with her dog, Jingles, sleeping on my chest. Lol. Damn cute la he.


Reality of FYP is sinking back in. I can't find my proposal anywhere and we have Terrence tomorrow. I'm in deep shit.

Tonight is going to be the biggest challenge for us. Heck with muscle spasms and feet blisters. It will all go well definitely!!

Gaaaaahhhhh why is it so hardddd !? (TT-TT)

Yesterday was pure lol-ness. Firstly with the whole sms-affair with a person called Wai Tuck on Rui's hp. It was really funny tho it made me feel little guilty in the end.

Then the so-called appreciation dinner for all the SA who were involved in the Degree Convocation. Denise and the Prof took us all to some chinese restaurant near SAM, we got a room all to ourselves. All of us kept making a lot of noise, and then we were all given a shirt each. Maybe NDC can wear it together next time for a perf! ;D

After that some of us were still a little hungry, so we decided to stick around and chill out abit before going home. Alex is friends with Su's bf so everyone got a little awkward when Alex came over and decided to join us. Went to Mind instead.  Hester, Su, Alvin, Greg, Andrew and Felder. Alex and Su's bf went elsewhere. It was all so damn funny, Su and Hester got the most embarrassing dares. HAHA Su had to blow a raspberry on Felder's stomach, stood on a chair and yodel, and Hester had to direct traffic twice in the crowded areas of the cafe. Alvin did the hula dance and sqwak like a chicken around the cafe twice. It was getting late and we had to rush to catch the last train soon but the game was on, hanging at the dangerous and most exciting point. I seriously didn't think it would survive up to my turn, so when it got to me, it was either I do a dare or risk game over with a forfeit. Yeah so the jenga fell over anyway. We had to rush for the last train by then so there wasn't time for my foreit, I heard Alvin or Greg saying stuff about making Angeline pole-dance in the train. HAHA omg heng they forgot cus then we had to run in the rain to the mrt station, taking weird orthodox shortcuts via a construction site.

On a side note, its so weird that I'm so seriously broke when I haven't been eating much outside, and neither have I been shopping! And I'm still in debt! Oh man, I hope my stuff can all be sold off during the Lime flea next week!

HAPPY BDAY RUI!  HAPPY RAYA-KODOMO DAY!

Vibrancy went on smoothly. We all met early in the morning for a last round of practice, everyone was all pumped up and ready to dance. When we went down and waited for our segment in the Visitor's Center while the Jamming Club ppl were performing. Watching them while waiting got us into a bundle of nerves. Alvin, being the experienced one, was like telling us that the current Vibrancy crowd is peanuts compared to Nafa Open Hse and Orientation. That didn't really make us feel any better but lol okayyy.
Dennis kept giving us encouraging comments and seconds before going out onstage, we all did 'FAITO~ OH!' thingie except that we were shouting 'NDC gogogo!' of some sort instead. Lol.

A couple of unnoticeable bloopers by S and G but otherwise it was all good. We'll be performing again this sunday for the convocation for the school's donors. I dk what kind of reaction we'll get from a mature crowd but oh well, its like a second chance for us to dance better.
In the same day we had Alif's class in the evening. When Alif knew about our performance he was all 'hey why wasn't i informed of this!!!!' He'd wanted to watch our first perf. All of us lol-ed, we thought he knew, and we danced for him on the spot anw. I think he was pretty pleased. Lol. 

I slept like a log today because we got dismissed from Photography early. When I lay myself down on the extra bed in Joyce's room, my mom was saying aloud 'poor thing, she's got her own room but she can't sleep on her own bed!' Haha!' Hinting for the 14349592353j3th time that its high time I clear up the mess in my room. I woke up several times and went back to sleep again, opened my eyes to see Joyce eating cup noodle, and again to see her doing hw, again to see her staring at me, then again to see her doing hw. T'was a delicious nap. Yumm. ((:

Had the trial lesson for Intermediate just now. The new instructor, Bboy Alif, wasn't quite what I expected but he's good nonetheless! Kinda humourous yet firm. Didn't learn a lot during that one hour but it was fun! Saw some new faces too. :D
I always seem to be more uppity after dancing. Haha. 
Oh Elson's eye is currently just like mine! Only that my 'eye zit' is slightly bigger.. Urgh.

Last lesson with Max today, so he taught us a bit longer than usual. One of the steps was 4 small consecutive hops with the left leg while tapping your right foot with each hop. All of us had different paces, it was so funny! XD When he wanted us to attempt the whole choreography seriously, I did try, I was doing okay until I saw Haja grinning at me through the door window. HAHAHA I started laughing and Sushi followed suit after seeing my sloppy movements. Gobi also cannot make it. Max was like 'Wth is that! LOL*turns off music* ' Talk about teamwork. ; )
Upon advancing to Intermediate, we'll receive a new instructor, Denise has yet to interview the interested applicants so we dunno who yet. After the class, both of us had a long chat regarding a recent dance performance boadcasted live on television. Lol. I couldn't tell at all that he was feeling that way at that time. Professional seh. Anyways that'll probably be the last time he and I ever talk like that unless I go look him up during his ballet classes. Lol he said can go find him! (Cannot imagine him teaching hip hop in tights la! >_<|||)   

Dinner with Lx and Xt just now was fun. Lx looks so different, time has done something good to her. When I first saw her i could only point at her and kept saying dumbly Wah. Lol.

My work contract have been extended. I was the one who requested for it. Zul called me crazy because he's dying to leave that place just as I was. Maybe he's right. I'm not sure what's making me stay or what I really want. Or rather, I do know but is trying to deny that idea whereas the contract extension is simply a cowardly and hopeless tryst. So confusing. ;d

I went to BOTY last night with Hl and her classmates tagged along, it was insane! Upon receiving the news that Kyu Sang aka Bruce Lee from Gamblers was one of the judges, I got really excited. His infinite windmills are crazy! He wowed the crowd with his little showcase. We were standing on the side of the stage so i managed to see his face quite clearly and WOW HE'S SO HENSEM LIEK OMGGG! *brainz melted*

Afterwards came the bboy battling, it got a little heated up at some point and at last Radikal Force won the rights to rep Singapore in BOTY Asia. There was a team whch didn't make it to the semi, I might sound cruel for saying this but they were pathetic in every sense. The style wasn't breaking and they'd already lost based on appearance alone. All of them looked so lost onstage and one of them even spaced out during their turn! They all look like secondary three kids. When their showcase was over, the emcee said "Give it up for them! (a weak applause) At least they dare to enter!" LOL. So true. Applaud for the courage!

Hl and I subsequently took the train home from Marina, a fat man sat himself beside me. The way he wasw sitting made it such that his elbow kept bumping into my side. At first I was okay with it as such occurances are often in trains after all. Tangentially, his knee started bumping into mine too and I had to edge closer to Hl in order to keep away from that piece of shit. It became until I was only sitting half of my seat and that fat man was still edging closer, with his beady eyes closed like he's really sleeping. Pfft. My irritation grew with each passing second. I elbowed him, and he shifted back a little. When he alighted at Sembawang, he still had the cheek to turn around and stare at me. I want to cut his balls and nehnehs off and feed it to the dogs. On second thoughts, the dogs are innocent and eww.

GAHH So sickening. Got work later. I'll submit my resignation letter tomorrow. Probably. Aishah will probably try to persuade me to stay with her. But Zul and I can't wait to leave that place. We really cannot tahan some of the staff and people in there. Oh yeah Zul and I have been working together since Robinsons expo! Anyways, we'll just wait and see.

Max taught us locking and raw fundamentals of breakdance today. The locking parts were okay, Sherice, from Arts Management, and I both agree that we all look like we're doing chicken dance when we're forced to speed up. HAHA Then came the breakdancing part. I think I nearly broke my wrist and ankle trying to do the 360 degrees thing with my legs while keeping my hands on the floor. When we all had to do it with the music together, I think we all got stuck and just laid sprawled on the floor! LOL Then the move with your head on the floor and your legs above the ground suspending in mid-air, I suppose I''ll never master that, but I'm gonna keep trying! =D Its called Freeze, but I call it Break The Neck.

Practice earlier was kind of funny. The new instructor threw a bunch of simple movements to us. We tried but it got really chaotic at some point. Couldn't remember our moves without his guidance. Lol. Instead of us all bouncing in the same direction, we all danced at different paces and everyone sort of bounced towards each other. XDD;

Greg will be needing my laptop when he leaves for Sydney for his pilot exam. Knowing that he don't take to them well, I'm gonna have to encrypt all my BL files. The only program he needs to have installed is some flight simulation game which ate 15gb!!!! Whoah. I tried it earlier, it's a pretty cool game really. 

The expo event starts today! I seriously hope I don't screw up.

Okay so Denise only looks fierce but is actually humourous. =) 
The session eariler was plainly just strenous stretching. Not much fun but thats okay. I'll probably be in for muscle aches everywhere though. I remember doing hard yoga in the steam studio at Pacific Plaza last year. The indian instructor suggested impossible positions that could've kill someone(me, actually). You practically have to summon out your 'qi' under your body to make you hover slightly while making it look like you are standing, to show that you have perfect balance and a good grip on your point of gravity. Yeah. 
Still, the steam studio work wonders in burning calories.

Now I only have to worry about my own attendance during my working period. Because it'll be a different instructor next week. I reckon we'll be starting on actual choreographies. Too bad I can't join the Int class. Sushi tried to make me stay but I decided not to, not after what Denise said. But I really wanna learn popping! ='(

The ST board that I frequent, not because of their amount of download links, but more importantly, because of their intelligent and troll-free anime discussions. I'm amused at the current situation on that forum. The mod politics are unfolding into a total high school drama. After an old mod was suddenly demodded without prior notice, a couple of other mods decided to give up their mod powers too after crying foul. Now all the mods are turning against one another, subtly flaming non-stop. But more importantly, the mod of the Naruto subforum resigned, now all the newbies are going to start trolling. =/
